For over 15 years, a quiet dream lived in my heart: to help women feel beautiful, confident, and free in their skin. That dream began in Texas, when I struggled with facial hair myself and sought laser hair removal. The treatment changed my life, not just my skin. The woman who performed my laser hair removal saw something in me, and with kindness and intuition, she agreed to train me and teach me. I didn’t know it then, but God had placed her in my life to awaken a calling I hadn’t yet discovered.
At the time, I already held my cosmetology license, but it was laser hair removal that lit a fire in me. Shortly after she began training me, I moved away from my home state of Texas to a state where I wasn’t able to perform laser hair removal for 11 years. Even so, the dream stayed alive in my heart.
During those years, I was a stay at home mom, fully devoted to raising my children. When our family moved to Idaho five years ago, everything shifted. I knew I could finally perform laser hair removal again, and I knew it was time to make my dream real. With my children grown and the calling still strong, I enrolled in esthetics school here in Idaho and stepped fully into the path God had placed before me so many years earlier.
In a full circle moment only He could orchestrate, I purchased the very business from the woman who first trained me. She is still my mentor, still my inspiration, and still the reminder that divine timing is real.
Why Amélis?
Today, my studio, Amélis (pronounced Am uh lee), carries both my name and my heart. Inspired by my lifelong love of the Fleur De Lis, I blended “Amy” with the symbol that has always represented beauty, strength, and grace. Amélis is the embodiment of that dream: a sanctuary where women are restored, uplifted, and honored.
I specialize in acne prone and mature skin, working with Sorella Apothecary’s botanically rich formulas to rebuild the skin barrier, the foundation of true healing. With Candela laser technology, I help women release the burden of unwanted facial or body hair, offering a path back to feeling radiant, feminine, and free. Every treatment is a ritual of restoration, where inflammation softens, resilience returns, and the complexion begins to glow from within.
